Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: May 2026  ·  Last Updated: September 2026

The Short Version

Agreement to Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using Huddle ("the Service," "the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms do not use Huddle.

Huddle is operated by its founder and is based in Maryland, United States. If you have questions about these Terms contact us at hello@huddleproject.com.

What Huddle Is

Huddle is a family subscription manager and private password vault that allows users to:

Huddle is an independent application. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected to Netflix, Disney+, Spotify, Hulu, Apple TV+, Amazon Prime Video, Max, Paramount+, Peacock, or any other streaming service or subscription provider referenced in the app. All product and company names, logos, and trademarks mentioned in Huddle belong to their respective owners.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Huddle. By creating an account you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years of age. If you are under 18 years of age you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. Given that Huddle stores sensitive credential information we strongly recommend that minors between 13 and 17 use Huddle only with parental awareness and supervision.

Your Account

Registration

To use Huddle you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to keep this information up to date.

Account security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You agree to notify us immediately at support@huddleproject.com if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.

One account per person

Each person should have only one Huddle account. You may not create accounts using false identities or for the purpose of abusing the service.

The Vault

What the Vault is

The Vault is Huddle's private encrypted password manager. It allows you to store login credentials for any service — streaming accounts, email accounts, banking, social media, work tools, or any other service you choose.

Two types of vault entries

Linked entries are credentials for services you have added to your Huddle. They have a subscription ID linking them to a shared service. When sharing is enabled family members can see the credentials you have chosen to share and request access through the existing access control flow.

Standalone entries are credentials for anything else — bank accounts, email logins, social media, work tools, or any other service you want to store privately. Standalone entries are always private regardless of any sharing settings. No family member ever sees them under any circumstances.

Encryption and security

All passwords stored in the Vault are encrypted using AES-256-GCM encryption before being written to our database. Huddle cannot read your stored passwords. You acknowledge that:

Your responsibility for vault contents

You are solely responsible for:

Sensitive category warnings

Huddle automatically detects sensitive account categories including banking, government, health, social media, and email accounts and warns you before sharing them with family members. These warnings are provided as a safeguard only. The final decision to share any entry is always yours and Huddle is not responsible for any consequences arising from your sharing decisions.

Vault limits by tier

When a family member leaves

When a family member leaves or is removed from your Huddle their access to all shared vault entries is revoked immediately. Huddle will flag the specific vault entries they had access to with an amber indicator and prompt you to update those passwords. The responsibility for updating passwords rests with you.

Code Fetching

Code fetching — the ability to retrieve streaming service login verification codes from a connected inbox — is available on all Huddle subscription tiers. It is the core feature of Huddle and is never locked behind a paywall or tier restriction. All members of a Huddle can fetch codes for shared services regardless of the Admin's subscription tier.

Acceptable Use

What you may do

You may use Huddle to:

What you may not do

  • Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation
  • Store credentials for accounts you do not own or do not have the right to access
  • Share login credentials for accounts you do not own or do not have the right to share
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any service, account, or system
  • Use the service to facilitate any form of account sharing that violates the terms of service of any provider
  • Upload, transmit, or store any content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or compromise the security of Huddle or its encryption
  • Use automated bots or scripts to access or interact with the service
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
  • Use Huddle for any commercial purpose without our written consent
  • Attempt to access another user's vault entries through any means other than entries they have explicitly shared with you

Streaming Service Compliance

Huddle is a tool that helps you manage and share access to services you subscribe to. It is your responsibility to ensure that your use of Huddle complies with the terms of service of any streaming or subscription service whose credentials you store or share through Huddle.

Many streaming services have their own policies regarding account sharing. We strongly encourage you to review the terms of service of each streaming provider you use. Huddle is not responsible for any consequences arising from your use of streaming services including account suspension or termination by those services.

Huddle does not facilitate unauthorized access to any streaming service. All code fetching is performed through your own connected email inbox using credentials and permissions you provide.

Family Groups and Members

The Admin model

The person who creates a Huddle becomes the Admin. The Admin pays the subscription and all invited members receive the features of that plan at no additional cost. As Admin you are responsible for:

Joining a Huddle

When you join a Huddle using an invite link or family code you agree that the Admin of that Huddle has the authority to manage your membership including removing you from the group at any time.

Service level access control

Huddle provides three access modes for each service you share:

You are responsible for setting and maintaining appropriate access controls for your shared services.

Member removal

When a member is removed or leaves they immediately lose access to all shared entries. Huddle prompts you with a list of the specific services they had access to and recommends updating those passwords. The responsibility for updating passwords rests with you.

Payments and Subscriptions

Free plan

Huddle offers a free plan with the following limits:

Paid plans

Huddle offers paid subscription plans with additional features:

Paid plans are billed to the Admin. All members of the Huddle receive the features of the Admin's plan at no additional cost.

While we encrypt all vault entries using industry standard encryption, no security system is impenetrable. You acknowledge and accept the inherent risks of storing sensitive information in any digital system. We are not liable for unauthorized access to your vault entries resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

No affiliation with streaming services

Huddle is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected to any streaming service. We make no representations about the continued availability or reliability of any streaming service's login code system. Streaming services may change how they send verification codes at any time and we cannot guarantee that Huddle will always be able to fetch codes successfully.

We make no representation that using Huddle to share streaming service access complies with the terms of service of any streaming provider. It is your responsibility to review and comply with the terms of the services you use.

Upon termination you will lose access to your account and all data associated with it. We are not liable for any loss resulting from termination of your account.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will notify you through the app and update the Last Updated date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Huddle after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If we make changes that materially affect your rights we will provide at least 30 days notice before the changes take effect.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Huddle shall first be attempted to be resolved through good faith negotiation. If negotiation is unsuccessful disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Maryland in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking emergency injunctive relief from a court of competent jurisdiction.
